French artist born in 1920 in Sölöz, Turkey from Armenian parents, Jansem arrived in France with his family at the age of 10 years old. He is famous and appreciated for his expressionnist and humanist art. His work is largely distributed throughout the world, and can be found in public and private collections. Two museums are devoted to his art work in Japan. For more than seventy years of constant practice of painting and drawing, he has created coherent, sensitive and intuitive works, without ever making compromises to the fashionable artistic currents. His figuration has always been serving emotion.
